Pretty blown away to receive this picture of one of my paintings in location in the USA. Thanks, Nate at Oscar Romero Catholic Worker House in Bloomington, Indiana. Glad to hear everyone loves it, and so glad to play a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny part in your amazing work providing homes for homeless women. "This beautiful painting is the finishing touch added to a room we just remodeled. It now hangs in the Moses room in the Óscar Romero house at Bloomington Catholic Worker in Bloomington Indiana. If Trees Could Talk...

There’s a Climate Emergency Centre opening near me in Staines, called The Talking Tree, which will house a café, repair centre and a community hub amongst other things. Anyone who knows me well, knows you're never far away from a music related pun ;-) So when it came to naming my Art Print collection, Prints & The Revolution was top of the list (Scroobius Pip beat me to The Fresh Prints...) And the choice of who was to appear on the stamps was obvious to me. I had no idea how timely it would seem when I sent the postcards to print four weeks ago. #BlackLivesMatter Lyrics reproduced without permission. Because they matter. Elvis was a hero to most But he never meant shit to me you see Straight up racist that sucker was Simple and plain Motherfuck him and John Wayne 'Cause I'm Black and...

Lockdown creative inspiration

Posted by Steve Lowes on

The story behind this one; Whilst in the corona virus lockdown, I took a cycle for my daily exercise into town, where I was expecting deserted streets and clean air, just like the previous six weeks. I was shocked to see the bridge over the Thames full of cars; the whole town centre locked down with traffic gridlock. Why? The McDonalds drive-through had reopened that morning. Clean air or dirty burgers, I asked myself? Online chats reveal people are really excited about the thought of being able to go “leisure” shopping again soon. What have we collectively learnt from...
